Driveways & stamped concrete.

Cracked driveway, tired patio or a bare side yard: David designs it, then his own crew breaks out the old slab, pours, stamps or colors the new one, and seals it. One team from demo to the last coat.

What's included

One crew, start to finish.

David designs it, prices it in writing, and his own crew builds it. No hand-offs to a separate sub.

01

Driveways

Tear-out and replacement of cracked or heaved driveways, in a plain broom finish, stamped or colored concrete.

02

Stamped & colored patios

Pattern and color are picked during design, so the patio matches the house and the rest of the yard.

03

Walkways, steps & slabs

Front entries, side-yard paths, step pads set in gravel or pebble, and pads for sheds and equipment.

04

Demo & sealing

Old concrete broken out and hauled away, and a sealer on stamped work to protect the color.

Know before you build

Things to plan for.

The driveway apron

The strip between the sidewalk and the street, and the sidewalk itself, usually sit in the public right-of-way. Replacing them typically needs an encroachment permit from your city, or from Sacramento County in unincorporated areas like Carmichael and Fair Oaks. DG Landscape Design checks what your address needs before the pour.

Fix the cause, not just the crack

A lot of cracked driveways around Sacramento are fighting tree roots or a weak base underneath. Dealing with that before the new pour is what keeps the new driveway from cracking the same way.

HOA neighborhoods

Changing a driveway's color or pattern in an HOA neighborhood often needs design review. DG Landscape Design's drawn plans make that submittal easier.

Rules and programs change. Confirm with your city, the County or your HOA before you start.

Questions

Concrete & driveways FAQ.

How much does a stamped concrete driveway cost?

It depends on the size, how much old concrete comes out, the pattern and the color. After a free site visit, David gives you a written price before any work starts. Current driveway and patio offers are on the Services page.

Plain concrete, stamped concrete or pavers?

Plain concrete costs the least. Stamped concrete adds pattern and color for a higher-end look. Pavers usually cost more up front but can be lifted and re-laid if something underneath needs fixing. David walks you through the trade-offs for your yard.

Do you remove the old driveway?

Yes. DG Landscape Design breaks out and hauls away the old concrete as part of the job.

How soon can I drive on new concrete?

You can usually walk on it within a day or two, but plan on about a week before driving on it. David gives you the exact timing for your pour.
